【摘要】:Thispracticecoversthepreparation,handling,testing,andprocedureforusingradiochromicliquiddosimetrysystemsofradiochromicdyesolutionsheldinsealedorcappedcontainers(forexample,ampoules,vials)andthespectrophotometricorphotometricreadoutequipmentformeasuringabsorbeddoseinmaterialsirradiatedbyphotonsandelectronsintermsofabsorbeddoseinwater.Thispracticeappliestoradiochromicliquiddosimetersolutionsthatcanbeusedwithinpartorallofthespecifiedrangesasfollows:Theabsorbeddoserangeisfrom0.5to40000Gyforphotonsandelectrons.Theabsorbeddoserateisfrom10-3to1011Gy/s.Theradiationenergyrangeforphotonsisfrom1to20MeV.Theradiationenergyrangeforelectronsisfrom0.01to20MeV.Note1-Sincelow-energyelectrons,suchas0.01MeV,maynotpenetratethecontainerofthesolution,thesolutionsmaybeusedinastirredopenbeakerwiththeelectronsenteringthesolutionsdirectly(1).Theirradiationtemperaturerangeisfrom-40to+60?C.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyproblems,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
